Job description of Manufacturing Excellence Manager

Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop Manufacturing excellence culture in VIKING Jiangyin, work together with manufacturing excellence team in HQ.
2. LEAN project implementation in boat and davit factory. Leads improvement for the overall effectiveness. Consults and supports processes, capabilities, systems and data for the function aligned to performance goals.
3. Standard work hour measurement and optimization. Leads by applying the knowledge of Operations Excellence principles
4. Working process optimization by LEAN tools(VSM, line balance…). Following Manufacturing Excellence standards, and leading the development of manufacturing standards and working methods.
5. CI activities implementation. Coaches business leaders, other functional leaders to proactively identify real issues and opportunities, develop prioritized improvement initiatives and coach them through to successful implementation.
6. Work efficiency improvement by LEAN tools
7. Responsible for workshop and logistics layout and optimization in boat and davit factory
8. Work with ME about new process introduction and SOP.
9. 5S/LEAN training and implementation guidance. Leads and participates in knowledge sharing. Championing and leading continuous and step-change improvement.

Qualification & Experience
1. Bachelor’s degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) or related field.
2. Fluent English in both oral and written.
3. Work with plants or cross functions to identify the needs of businesses regarding manufacturing excellence process support. Develop training program, lean workshops, coordinate to conduct process improvement activities.
4. Independently engage with leaders for cost down in cooperate level, reduce plant waste in terms of process mapping, Throughput Time and Value Added operation.
5. Independently lead the continuous improvement projects
